After going years without being ranked in the AP poll, Iowa State is now ranked for consecutive weeks. This week the Cyclones check in at #14 in the AP poll after the victory over TCU on Saturday. They are also ranked #16 in the Coaches poll.

Matt Campbell’s team is 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12 Conference and in a virtual tie atop the conference. Iowa State holds the tie breakers over TCU and Oklahoma and control their own destiny to get to Dallas.
Iowa State will now head to Morgantown to take on West Virginia who is coming off a loss to Oklahoma State. The Big 12 now has 4 teams ranked in the AP Poll. The College Football Playoff poll is set to be released on Tuesday night at 7pm est. That will be the poll that is used from now on.
