Defense Strong In 70-45 Win Over Leathernecks

Wigginton had a great game tonight!

Iowa State jumped out to a quick 8-0 early in the first half before the Leathernecks dewclawed their way back to a 14-12 lead with 9:08 left in the first half thanks to a Ancrum jumper.

Donovan Jackson would make a three with 8:54 remaining and another with 7:57 left. Iowa State would stay with an 18-14 lead until Wigginton broke the ice with a jumper made with 5:45 left.

Iowa State would slow down offensively which let Western Illinois come to within four at halftime (29-25 ISU).

The Cyclones would keep building early and often in the second half, going on a 21 to 9 run at the 12:36 left mark in the game.

Terrence Lewis scored 12 points in this game, in particular he knocked down a three with 8:51 left.

At the 7:50 mark, Talley tallied a great assist to Cameron Lard on this dunk.

The Cyclones would keep the defensive heat on following the dunk, finishing the game on a 14-8 run.
