After a 3-9 season to begin his Cyclone career, Matt Campbell guided the program to 7-5 regular season record this fall, including two top 5 wins against Oklahoma and TCU. After some speculation regarding openings at other universities, Campbell signed a $22.5 million extension to remain in Ames for the next 6 years.
The Ohio native certainly deserved this award, and will surely be a contender for National Coach of the Year.
