Other than Re-al Mitchell, there has been one player Matt Campbell has been after. Iowa State was the first school to offer offensive tackle Joey Ramos. The hard work recruiting him has paid off. Ramos has officially committed to Iowa State.

The 6ft 5 in, 290 pound offensive tackle is the 57th ranked tackle in the entire country. Ramos is a 3-star recruit with an 87 composite ranking according to 247sports. Ramos held offers from Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Arizona State. He last visited Arizona State on December 15th.
It really was unclear where Ramos’ mind was lately in the recruiting process, and then the coaching carousel happened. Arizona’s offensive line coach left for Oregon State and Arizona State hired Herm Edwards. Iowa State kept the effort on Ramos off and it fell into their favor.
This appears to be the last offensive lineman for the 2018 recruiting class. With Zach Ross and Trevor Downing on board already, Matt Campbell has grabbed three top notch offensive line projects.
