For what seems like the first time all season, the Cyclones were able to get off to a not-slow start, trading buckets with the Hawks in a fast-paced first half.

Near the end of the first half, Jordan Bohannon hit a couple three pointers, sparking Iowa to a 6 point lead, 5 points of which they would carry into halftime.

Like many other games this season, the second half was very kind to the Cyclones, with Lindell Wigginton and Nick Weiler-Babb making play after play in a flurry of baskets to push the Cyclone lead near 10. After two quick fouls kept him out of much of the first half, Cameron Lard was excellent in the low post, highlighted by a poster dunk with the and-one foul.

Down the stretch, Lindell Wigginton made his case as the best player on the roster, hitting multiple huge three pointers that stopped small bursts of momentum for Iowa. Nick Weiler-Babb then revutted by hitting a handful of free throws to help put the game away. Hans Brase also had his best game of the season, playing solid defense and hitting his own free throws in the final minutes.

Next up is Alcorn State on Sunday.
