In the wise words of DJ Khaled: “another one.” That rings true today as Iowa State picks up its second commitment of the day from the class of 2018. Christian Young is a 6’1” safety and cornerback from Richmond, Texas. The 3-star had some notable offers, including Arizona State, Houston, Kansas, Missouri, and Oregon State. He visited Ames this past weekend.

Last season, he and Foster High School got all the way to the final four of the Class 5A State Championships in Texas, where they lost 31-24 to Temple. Statistically in 2016, he had 54 tackles, 12 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 4 interceptions.
