Former Cyclones Square Off in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League

The NBA Summer League should be extra fun for Iowa State fans this year.

The NBA Summer League is off and running and we’ve already seen some former Iowa State players make headlines.

Naz Mitrou-Long shot well with the Pacers during his stint in the Orlando Summer League, but fellow Pacer Georges Niang played only a minute before suffering a knee injury in his summer league debut.

Meanwhile, Abdel Nader finished strong in the Utah Summer League and will now make the trip to Las Vegas with his former teammates Matt Thomas, Mitrou-Long, Monte Morris and Deonte Burton.

The schedule gives us three match-ups where former teammates will face off against one another. Nader (Celtics) and Thomas (Lakers) will face off first, followed by Burton (Timberwolves) vs. Morris (Nuggets). Finally, Thomas and Mitrou-Long (Kings) will try to out-shoot one another before the playoffs begin.

These should be some fun games to watch for much of Cyclone nation. Below is the complete schedule of when the former Iowa Staters will play and how you can watch them.
