I went 6-3 last week with Kansas letting me down in the beatdown they received from Central Michigan. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised by Kansas. Or Baylor.

Kansas @ Ohio | September 16th, 11AM - ESPNU | Line: -7.5 Ohio
Kansas leaves the comfort of Lawrence to play the first game ever in the series at Ohio, all-time, the Jayhawks are 0-2 against the Bobcats, playing in 1967 and 2016.

I don’t expect Kansas to win this game, but they are looking to get their first road win since September 12, 2009, when Mangino was at the helm there.
Ohio 31 - Kansas 24

#9 Oklahoma State @ Pittsburgh | September 16th, 11AM - ESPN | Line: -14 Oklahoma State
These two teams had a shootout last season in their first ever matchup with the Cowboys prevailing 45-38. This year’s game should also be exciting with Mason Rudolph going up against Max Browne. I just can’t bring myself to pick against the Cowboys until November.
Oklahoma State 48 - Pittsburgh 42

(FCS) Delaware State @ #29 West Virginia | September 16th, 11AM - ATSN | Line: N/A
Delaware State is 0-2 so far this season, losing to both the alma mater of Joe Flacco and the team that beat Iowa State in the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament in 2001.
West Virginia will win, I don’t think the Hornets are team chaos.
West Virginia 56 - Delaware State 3
Iowa State @ Akron | September 16th, 11AM - CBSSN | Line: -9.5 Iowa State
Last week, was disappointing in the end, but the entire game showed lots of promise for how this team is going. David Montgomery is the best #32 we’ve had on the field since Jeff Woody. Neat. Akron is 1-1 this season either getting beat by 52 points or scoring a win with 52 points.
This is also the first time we’ve ever played Akron.
Iowa State 35 - Akron 14

Baylor @ Duke | September 16th, 11:30AM - ACCN | Line: -14 Duke
Duke beat Northwestern handily in the Nerd Bowl (10% or less acceptance rate) last week, and Baylor lost again. Good.
Duke 35 - Baylor 10

SMU @ #20 TCU | September 16th, 2:30PM - ESPNU | Line: -18.5 TCU
TCU has won every meeting since 2012, and they lead the series 49-40-7. TCU wins this one quite easily. Kenny Hill has the Horned Frogs playing at a level that is hard to beat.
For SMU, I’d look out for Courtland Sutton. The winner of this game gets an Iron Skillet, which has been around since 1915.
TCU 38 - SMU 21

Tulane @ #2 Oklahoma | September 16th, 5PM - OKPV | Line: -34 OU
I really like Tulane’s “new” helmet logo that resurfaced last season. If helmets alone could win football games, Tulane would win this game. Alas, Baker “Owner of Ohio Stadium” Mayfield will stop this wave, it won’t be a good game to see, so thankfully it’ll be hard to find it online. Tulane features an option attack, so that might be difficult for a possession or two.
Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 10
#18 Kansas State @ Vanderbilt | September 16th, 6:30 PM - ESPN U | Line: -3.5 KSU
I know Jesse Ertz will make things difficult for Vanderbilt, but I’m never one to count out a team because of new helmets (see: us against Akron).
But yeah, because Vanderbilt beat us in basketball and Kansas State beat them so yeah, EMAW.
Kansas State 35 - Vanderbilt 31

Arizona State @ Texas Tech | September 16th, 7PM - FSN | Line: -7.5 Tech
Wow, an accurate picture of Texas Tech’s defense! This game won’t be PAC12 after dark because it’s in Lubbock, but strange things happen. Shimonek, the Tech quarterback, has already passed for almost 400 yards, how underwhelming. Texas Tech may be favored but Arizona State has better flavored tacos, so game-set-match Sun Devils.
Arizona State 42 - Texas Tech 38

Texas @ #4 USC | September 16th, 7:30 PM - FOX | Line: -15 USC
USC has “never” lost to Texas, so, I guess The_Darnold will make sure that happens again, sorry Texas, you’ll be back sometime, but not this year.
