Iowa State’s basketball recruiting class is beginning to shape up quite nicely. Steve Prohm secured his second commit in as many weeks this afternoon. This time it is Wisconsin shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton is a three star prospect with an 89 overall composite rating on 247Sports. The 6-foot-6 guard is the number 50 overall shooting guard and 5th best prospect in Wisconsin. He has offers from Minnesota, Cincinnati, Nebraska and Northern Iowa. Neil Berry was his lead recruiter.
The commitment last week of Zion Griffin appears to be paying off already. Last week Griffin mentioned Haliburton as his best friend and that he was going to aggressively recruit. It will be fun to see these two in Cyclone uniforms.
With the commitment on Haliburton, Iowa State now only has two open scholarships remaining for the 2018 class. With names like George Conditt and Tyler Harris still on Iowa State’s radar, this recruiting class may be wrapped up before long.
