After a 4 game losing skid to begin Big 12 play, Lindell Wigginton helped power the Cyclones through to their first league win against Baylor. Through the beginning of league play, Iowa State had been able to keep pace with their opponent, but faltered in the last few minutes to lose the game.
Tonight, the good guys stayed tough and tmade shots down the stretch to take down an opponent in Baylor who’s had their number in recent years. The main difference this game was Iowa State’s post presence that hasn’t been there in previous years.
Lindell Wigginton led the way, with 30 points on 5-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Nick Weiler-Babb had another ho-hum game with 15 pts, 10 asists, and 7 rebounds. Cam Lard also had a great game in his second start with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
Next up is a matchup down in Fort Worth with TCU on Tuesday at 8:00 pm.
