We here at WRNL are always looking for new ways to connect with its readers. Whether it be through satire, analysis, videos, Twitter, or Facebook, we like to interact with you, the reader, and find out what else we can do that you’d be interested in.
Due to their recent spike in popularity, an eSports league came up as a really interesting way not only for us to engage with our readers, but for our community members to engage with each other.
Obviously, one of the main hurdles with a league would be systems. Xbox One and PS4 are the most common consoles for you average gamer, but PC could be an option as well if there is enough interest.
This league could take all sorts of different forms. It could be as simple as getting a group of people together and playing a Connected Franchise on Madden, or a MyLeague on NBA 2K. Maybe it’s an MLG-style league on FIFA, or a team-based league on a first/third person shooter like, Overwatch, Call of Duty, or Fortnite Battle Royale.
Like all sorts of different games? Maybe the league has a “decathalon” format, with a champion being crowned at the end of a series of different games.
