Waiting around for the night game to kick off had us all feeling a little anxious.
Speaking of waiting, it appears we’ll all have to keep waiting for the Iowa State offense to do something.
While it was nice to see CMC go for it on 4th down during the opening drive, Zeb Noland’s pass went awry.
After trading punts, TCU drove their way to midfield. All of a sudden, freshman Will McDonald sacked Shawn Robinson, forcing a fumble!
And while nobody really wanted to grab the football, JaQuan Bailey eventually recovered it!
And then an Iowa State tight end caught a touchdown for the first time in 4 seasons.
Naturally, the Cyclones immediately let TCU drive 83 yards and tie the game.
The game was tied at the half, with both defenses combining to make the opposing offense look rather ugly.
Iowa State took the opening kick of the second half looking for offensive momentum. Instead, the TCU defense housed a Zeb Noland fumble.
After yet another punt, TCU drove the ball into the ISU red zone...
...but then Artayvious Lynn attempted the dumbest hurdle of all time and fumbled the football!
After more punts, the Cyclones mounted a touchdown drive on the back of David Montgomery, though a Zeb Noland 28 yard scramble was the key play.
The defense came through yet again, intercepting Shawn Robinson.
And then the Cyclone offense did this.
And then TCU kicked a late field goal to take the lead.
And then the offense did it again.
The defense tried their best to keep the offense from costing the Cyclones the game, but it just wasn’t enough.
Hopefully the Cyclone passing attack can do better than 79 yards against Oklahoma State, who did give up 28 points to Kansas...
... because I’m not sure how much more of this the people can take.
