This Week in GIFs: Texas Tech

It wasn’t always pretty, but there are still GIFs.

After forcing a punt, Tech forced Iowa State to punt, and well. It did not go well.

A short time later, a nice ISU drive would end when Posterior Parkway missed a 37-yard field goal.

Even though our kickers can’t kick, they’re still probably nice guys.

Starting out down 10-0 had us all thinking Texas Tech might be better than we thought.

But thanks to Brock Purdy, David Montgomery, Hakeem Butler and a great defense, Cyclone fans weren’t all that worried.

The Cyclones put together a long touchdown drive thanks to Tarique Milton, David Montgomery, and Tech penalties.

Thankfully, the officials had plenty more flags for Texas Tech.

A deep throw to Hakeem Butler, followed by a stupid unnecessary roughness penalty, led to a Charlie Kolar touchdown.

Actually, I could get used to this whole officials calling penalties on the other team for once.

Alan Bowman then dismantled the defense, giving Tech the lead before half.

Kene Nwangwu is very very fast.

And Marcel Spears is good at defense.

Antoine Wesley is also good at jumping and catching and being a scary dude.

An awful Tarique Milton fair catch led to a Brock Purdy strip-sack for a touchdown.

But Iowa State got it’s 3rd safety in as many games.

And the Iowa State defense was eating up Alan Bowman throws, getting two more interceptions.

It wasn’t always pretty, but the Cyclones found a way to win, beating Texas Tech for the 3rd year in a row.

Up next: Kansas.
