Tonight at 8:00, the Utah Jazz travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets.

In case you haven’t heard, Monte Morris plays for the Nuggets and Georges Niang plays for the Jazz. Both of these former Cyclones have been playing big roles off of the bench for their respective teams.

Through 8 games, Monte has been playing 22.4 minutes per game while averaging 8.1 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds, all while boasting 6-1 assist to turnover ratio. Morris hasn’t been extremely efficient yet, he’s shooting 36.9% from the field and 43.8% from beyond the arc.

Georges has played in a smaller role with the Jazz but is still playing well. Niang has played 8.4 minutes per game in the first 8 games of the year. He is averaging 5.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and .4 assists. Niang has been shooting very well, knocking down 56.5% of his shots and 57.1% of his three pointers.

The Nuggets have been one of the best teams in the NBA, they are 7-1 with a win over the Golden State Warriors. Utah has underperformed so far, sitting at just 4-4. Denver is coming off of a day off after a back-to-back on the road featured wins over Chicago and Cleveland. Utah lost at home last night against the Grizzlies.

These northwest division rivals both feature some of the best players in basketball such as Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris, Donovan Mitchell, and Rudy Gobert. These players, along with the Iowa State matchup between Monte and Georges will make it a very fun game to watch.
