This week, we caught up with former Cyclone receiver and all-around fast guy Trever Ryen. Trever gave us an update on what he’s up to these days, the biggest differences between a Power 5 and a MAC program, and what his thoughts are on Iowa State this season. Cole, Marchie, and Trever also dished on what their least favorite workouts were at Iowa State.
Next, we recapped a convincing win at Kansas, which included a dominant performance from the defense, and a solid, albeit conservative performance from the offense. However, Brock Purdy had another good outing, earning himself a third Big 12 Newcomer of the Week Award in the past four weeks.
Finally we previewed this weekend’s matchup vs. Baylor. The Bears come to Ames with arguably the worst defense in the Big 12, but an offense capable of putting points on the board. So what gives? Will this be a shootout, or defensive showdown? Somewhere in the middle? To close it out, we gave our score predictions and talked about this weekend’s new uniforms.
