Just when you thought the bad news might be on the verge of stopping, we took a 40 pound sledge hammer straight to the family jewels this afternoon when it was announced that Lindell Wigginton suffered a left foot strain against Alabama State, and is out indefinitely.
Iowa State athletic trainer Vic Miller said Lindell Wigginton has a foot strain in his left foot and is out indefinitely. Iowa State will re-check him each week. Uncertain of a timeline.— Alex Halsted (@AlexHalsted) November 9, 2018
With Solomon Young, Cam Lard, and Zoran Talley all out at least until December, Wigginton’s injury leaves the Cyclones with 8 available scholarship players.
Iowa State inactive update:— Alex Halsted (@AlexHalsted) November 9, 2018
Solomon Young: Groin (mid-December)
Lindell Wigginton: Foot (week to week)
Cameron Lard: Suspension (Dec. 3)
Zoran Talley: Suspension (Dec. 3)
Experts have also determined the cause of multiple spats of injuries over the past two season to be none other than our ever expanding universe balancing itself out after allowing Cyclone fans to enjoy football for once.
Stay tuned to WRNL for updates to this story, as well as coverage of when we’ll probably lose all of our freshman to the bubonic plague at some point this season.
