After his third season in Ames and second consecutive of winning at least 8 games, Matt Campbell and Jamie Pollard have come to terms on another contract extension through 2024, with another $1 million per year allocated towards assistant coach compensation.

“Coach Campbell and I had a great end-of-the-year meeting Friday and during our visit we mutually agreed to extend his contract to 2024 and further demonstrate Coach Campbell and the University’s commitment to one another,” Pollard said in the news release. “I couldn’t be more excited for our current players, fans and recruits to receive this great news.”

“We’re pleased to invest further in a group of coaches and staff that have quickly raised the standards for Iowa State football,” Pollard said. “Matt and I both agreed about the importance of rewarding his staff to keep the momentum going.”

No details have been released on if Campbell himself got a raise, but the raises for his assistants, as well as the new Sports Performance Center to begin construction in the near future, are signs that Jamie Pollard is going to give Matt Campbell just about anything he’ll ever need to make sure Iowa State football can continue on its current trajectory.
