Georges Niang Signs Multi-Year Contract with the JAZZ!

Congrats Georges - well deserved

NBA: Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

According to multiple sources, legendary Cyclone basketball player Georges Niang has signed a multi-year deal with the Utah Jazz.

After originally being drafted by the Indiana Pacers 50th overall in the 2016 draft, Niang was waived and then picked up by the Golden State Warriors G-League roster, and then signed to a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz in January, playing for their G-league team in Salt Lake City.

Niang made the most of it - averaging a team-high 19.7 points per game, and being named to All-NBA G League First Team.

The former ISU fan favorite has turned it on in summer league and forced the Jazz franchise to make him a long-term commitment.

I can’t think of anyone more well deserved than this guy. Congrats Georges!
