Donnie Duncan in his years at Iowa State was 3-1 all time against Iowa, before Jim Criner came in and ruined the party. The 1985 edition of this game was the worst in series history, as the Hawkeyes won 57-3. Jim Walden kept it closer score-wise in the series, unfortunately, the Cyclones wouldn’t be able to break the streak until 1998.

Fortunately, Iowa State began its own streak in 1998, winning five straight, and seven out of the next ten. In fact, since 1998, the series is knotted up at ten apiece.

So, here’s to starting another Cyclone winning streak in the CyHawk series.
