Iowa State Makes Their Debut At #20 In The AP Poll

The Cyclones are now ranked

NCAA Basketball: Kansas at Iowa State Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa State demolished Kansas on Saturday and now after a 2-0 start in Big 12 play, the Cyclones crash into the AP Poll for the first time this season.

Iowa State is ranked #20 in the poll. Kansas whom they beat this past Saturday fell from #5 to #7. This is the first time in well over a year that Cyclones are ranked in the AP poll. Iowa State will certainly have plenty of opportunities to not only keep the ranking but improve on it. Other Big 12 teams ranked are Texas Tech (8), Oklahoma (23) and TCU(25).

Iowa State travels to Waco tomorrow night to take on Baylor as Steve Prohm and his club look to improve to 3-0 in Big 12 play.

Stay tuned to WRNL as the basketball season continues on.
