The Cyclones came out swinging in Lubbock and never looked away with a 34-24 victory over Texas Tech. Brock Purdy and Breece Hall led the way for the Cyclones as Iowa State moves to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in the Big 12.
Brock Purdy got the party started for the Cyclones in the first half, connecting with Charlie Kolar for two scores early on. Purdy would find LaMichael Pettway not long after to give the Cyclones a 20-0 lead early on in the second quarter. Texas Tech would find their way into the end zone before the half ended to make it 20-7 Cyclones at the break.
Purdy finished the first half in a big way with 308 yards passing and 19 completions, including the previously mentioned 3 touchdowns.

The second half was the Breece Hall show. After busting off a 61 yard reception in the first half, Hall found the endzone for the first time after a 75 yard scamper to the house, the longest run of his young Cyclone career.

Texas Tech would get within 10 in the second half before Breece Hall put the game away for good with a 30 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Hall finished the game with 183 yards rushing, along with 75 receiving yards and two scores on the ground. Texas Tech would score late in the fourth quarter to make it a 34-24 final.

Tarique Milton led the Cyclones in receiving with 4 receptions for 98 yards, while Charlie Kolar hauled in 3 receptions and 2 touchdowns. Deshaunte Jones found his way back into the box score with 7 receptions for 51 yards.
Iowa State will look to close out another October unbeaten next weekend against Oklahoma State in Ames. That game is set to kick off at 2:30pm.
