Betting the Big 12: Week 10 Edition

Gotta spend money to make money

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OCT 26 Oklahoma at Kansas State

Like they say, gotta spend money to make money. Now while we have been spending a few more than we would like, there are still many games left to go. Can’t jump off now!

I didn’t know it could get this bad, but apparently this is what ROCK BOTTOM feels like.

You are probably thinking just make every pick opposite of mine. Unless you have don’t have balls, that’s fine. Or you can hop on the roller coaster – and ride this out with me.

Only three games this week, as Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma have BYE weeks.

Here is Week 10 of Betting the Big 12

THURSDAY OCTOBER 31st GAME

West Virginia (3-4, 1-3) at #12 Baylor (7-0, 4-0) | 7:00 P.M. On ESPN | Baylor -17.5

A good game on a Thursday night. Oh wait, you mean another blow out right?

There is no team that benefited more in last week’s bye than the Baylor Bears. Coach Rhule was gulping down shots left and right after Oklahoma, Texas AND ISU all lost last week.

West Virginia may replace Kansas as the runt of the Big 12, and Baylor, well, is this year’s bright story. With that being said, I expect Baylor to roll, and expect to see it a 3-score game by the end.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 2nd GAME

#22 Kansas State (5-2, 1-4) at Kansas (3-5, 1-4) | 2:30 P.M. on FS1 | Kansas State -5.5

Wow, Kansas State with the upset of the Big 12 year – knocking Oklahoma off the pedestal, while putting up 48 POINTS! I didn’t even know that team was capable of scoring in the 30s! Needless to say, the Wildcats have won two straight, now ranked in the top-25, and get to play their favorite in-state little-brother rival.

Kansas meanwhile pulled off their own upset against Texas Tech, and did it in dramatic fashion. Quarterback Carter Stanley has come into his own lately, even winning Big 12 Player of the Week Honors.

This game should be good, but its hard to know which teams will show up. These new coaches have shown us they can suck one week and play with their hair on fire the next.

Give me the Wildcats with the win, but I’m not touching the spread (or swallowing any points).

Bwahaha

Here are my best bets for Week TEN of the 2019 Season

TCU (4-3, 2-2) at Oklahoma State (5-3, 2-3) | 2:30 P.M. on ESPN | OSU -3.5

WOW! Both of these programs have turned their seasons around. TCU knocks off Texas, and Okie State beats ISU on the road?

The Horned Frog’s potent rush defense has a tough matchup of slowing down Chuba Hubbard. And we have TWO Freshman Quarterbacks starting in this game.

It’s quite simple – this game is even on paper, but the Cowboys deserve the nod with the friendly confines of home field. If you look at the analytics, OSU is 6-2 against the spread, and TCU is 3-4.

I’ll take the fighting Gundy Mullets and swallow the 3.5 points for $100k.
