4-Star C Xavier Foster Commits to Iowa State

Iowa State landed a commitment from the top high schooler in the state of Iowa.

Steve Prohm has added another VERY talented player from the class of 2020. Xavier Foster announced that he will be heading to Ames, after a long recruiting battle with cross-state rival Iowa.

Xavier Foster is listed a 7-feet tall, as well as being the 59th ranked player in the country on 247sports.com. He chose to come to Iowa State over other top schools such as Kansas, Baylor, and USC. Foster is the highest ranked player from Iowa in the class of 2020, and he is arguably the best player to come out of the state since Harrison Barnes in 2011. Foster is the Cyclone’s fifth highest ranked recruit of all time

Foster has immense talent, and I don’t think he has even scratched the surface of his potential. His insane length as well as NBA-level athleticism makes him a terrific defender, with a game very similar to current Cyclone George Conditt on that end of the floor. What makes Foster so special is his offensive game. Unlike Conditt, Foster has the ability to get a bucket whenever he wants. He has terrific footwork and touch around the rim. He also has the ability to stretch the floor which makes him quite the versatile player. The addition of Foster moved Iowa State from the 43rd recruiting class in the country to (INSERT NUMBER HERE).
