Justin Bickham almost came up with an interception on the first OU drive, but it slipped through his fingers. Lets take a look at what Cede Lamb did to the Cyclone defense. And let’s take a look at the Cyclone run defense trying to stop Kennedy Brooks. Greg Eisworth dropped another interception, which should have been returned for a touchdown. Brock Purdy made enough plays in the first half to keep the Cyclones in the game. The Cyclone defense managed to keep OU’s offense from getting going in the second half. Brock Purdy and Breece Hall kept eating away at the lead. A late Jalen Hurts interception gave the Cyclones a chance to tie the football game. After tying up the game, Matt Campbell decided to go for 2 and the win. It did not work, and the Cyclones lost the game. Ultimately, 3 dropped interceptions, simple mistakes, penalties, and some questionable officiating doomed the Cyclones. Up next: Texas.
