The Clones drop their last game in the Battle 4 Atlantis with a final score of 84-76.
Iowa State was led in scoring by Rasir Bolton with 20 points. Aiding in the effort tonight was Tyrese Haliburton with 19 points, 7 assists, 3 boards (and an egregious snub from the first team tourney team), right behind him was Perentiss Nixon with 15 points.
On the Seton Hall side of the ball, the Pirates were led by Myles Powell with 24 points, but the real factor for Seton Hall was the effort by Sandro Mamukelashvili. Sandro only had 18 but the points came at big times during big runs.
While Iowa State finished out 1-2 in the tournament on the week, the team showed glimpses of what kind of success this team can have when things click.
The Alabama game gave an insight into what the ceiling of this team could be while the other two showed what most fans expected.
Even though there was a noticeable amount mediocre shooting in the two loses, Haliburton and Bolton both shined as to what the season could hold.
Next up is UMKC on Wednesday, before Seton Hall comes to Ames for the rubber match.
