We are ‘Back in the Saddle Again’
After a stretch of games that smelled worse than a week of Chinese food sitting out, we are finally back on track. We went 1 for 2 last week, with Baylor squeaking by West Virginia (what the F%*&), and Okie State holding on to win against TCU.
The Big 12 is about as consistent as the Chicago Bears Quarterback situation, so here we go again shooting darts at the wall.
Baby steps. I can see the roller coaster creeping its way back up.
We’ve got FOUR games this week, as Oklahoma State and Kansas have BYE weeks.
Here is Week 11 of Betting the Big 12
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 9th GAMES
Texas Tech (3-5, 1-4) at West Virginia (3-5, 1-4) | 11:00 A.M. on ESPN2 | Texas Tech -1.5
The Big 12 and their TV partners took all of 2 seconds to slate this game for an 11 AM kickoff. You could say this is the battle for the bottom of the Conference, as both programs have fallen off the deep end and have taken to the bottle.
Due to their drinks of choice, with Tech chugging whiskey (It’s Texas), and West Virginia shooting Moonshine (Redneck kool-aid), I’ll give the Red Raiders the better shot at winning this contest.

Give me Tech and I will chug the 1.5 points.
#20 Kansas State (6-2, 3-2) at Texas (5-3, 3-2) | 2:30 P.M. on ESPN | Texas -6.5
OOOH! This ladies and gentlemen is the game that Tom Herman was brought to Austin to win. With their backs against the wall, and the program reeling, the Longhorns need to right the ship.
K-State on the other hand has been outshined by Matt Rhule and the Baylor Bears. First-year coach Chris Klieman is exceeding expectations faster than anyone would have thought, and are a legitimate threat to finish in the upper half of the Big 12.
With that being said, this is a statement game for the Longhorns. The Wildcats believe it or not, have matched up quite well in years past versus UT. I wish the spread was a point higher, but with a gun to my head I’ll have to lean towards KSU in this one.
Here are my best bets for Week ELEVEN of the 2019 Season
#11 Baylor (8-0, 5-0) at TCU (4-4, 2-3) | 11:00 A.M. On FS1 | Baylor -2.5
The Baylor Bears continue to scrape and claw their way to victories every single week. Quite frankly, I’m tired of it. They are the epitome of an Iowa Hawkeye team that cruised through an easy schedule in 2015, and are the real “Fake ID of College Sports.”
TCU comes in one week and puts it on Texas, then lays an egg against Okie State. They are the true Jekyll and Hyde of the Big 12, and with a freshman quarterback – their offense is still a big question mark.

The line opened at 1, but has moved to 2.5, and basically allows you to eat the points if you think BU wins.
On paper its easy to see the winner, and I would be a fool not to take Baylor and the 2.5 for $50k.
Iowa State (5-3, 3-2) at #9 Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1) | 7:00 P.M. On FOX | Oklahoma -14
Both teams coming off Byes, and both after disappointing losses. Iowa State pissed down their leg but continue to show correctible mistakes, while OU completely abandoned their running attack and have a problem on defense.
It’s going to be an interesting game in Norman. The 14-point spread seems to be WAAAY too much, as ISU’s worst loss in the last THREE years is just that = 14. In fact, their margin of defeat in 13 losses is simply 5.7. Take it, run with it, lock it in.
Take ISU and the points. And I will do the same for $300k.
