I’m going to spare many of the details since most of you watched the abomination that was the Camping World Bowl, but it was a disheartening performance nonetheless. At the end of a disappointing 2019 season that saw Iowa State repeatedly fall short in the margins, the Cyclones encapsulated their season by digging a hole early with turnovers, then making small mistake after small mistake, which led to a not-so-small margin of victory for the Irish.
After the game, Matt Campbell and Brock Purdy both said everything you’d want them to after that performance.

Brock Purdy: "This program and what we’re trying to do here means a lot to me and I’m going to do whatever it takes to take it to the next step and not have any excuses. I’m going to do whatever it takes this offseason. Right when he get back, it’s go time."

We’ll be reviewing the 2019 season and looking forward to 2020 over the next few weeks, but today’s a great opportunity to sit back, take a deep breath, and enjoy a cold one.
Happy New Year, Cyclones.
