Game Thread XXXI: Taco Tech

It’s the last regular season game of the year and the Iowa State Cyclones (20-10; 9-8) welcome the #8 Texas Tech Red Raiders (25-5; 13-4) to Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones are on a bit of a skid right now and hope to gain some momentum heading into the Big XII Tournament and the Big Dance later this month. Which team will show up? The hell if I know.

The opponent, however, is experiencing the opposite of us. They are red hot, again, but the Cyclones look to take sour cream out of the taco... look to take the meat out of the taco... There’s really nothing good to put here that doesn’t sound wrong. You get the idea. Let’s take the wind out of their sail. There! It’s an EIGHT game winning streak for Taco Tech who have been riding on the back of their star in Jarrett Culver. Hilton Magic has been bipolar with us this year, but let’s hope there’s some left.

The last time these two played was down in Lubbock back on January 16th. That game was fun. We want some fun again.
