Next on our list of Cyclones that need to “step in our office” is none other than Eric Steyer. The 6’5” guard made a splash early in the season, and I hope he’s part of the team for the 2019-2020 season.
Season at a Glance
Eric Steyer came to the Cyclone squad after transferring from ISU Athletic Communications office.
In Maui against San Diego State, he scored a 3 point basket, got an offensive and a defensive rebound, two assists a personal foul, and a black eye all in a span of two minutes.
The Numbers
11-0. The Cyclones never lost when Steyer played this season.
4.0. Steyer, a statistics major, was nominated to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team(>3.20 GPA) as the only athlete with a 4.0.
2019-2020 Season Outlook
It’s unknown if Eric will stay with the team in 2019-2020, but if he does, look for the smartest player on and off the court in the Big 12 Conference.
