Steve Prohm picked up a commitment early Saturday morning.

Javan Johnson is a 6 foot 7 inch forward from Troy. Johnson will have two years of eligibility at Iowa State, and will have to sit out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Johnson averaged 10.4 points and 4.2 rebounds as a sophomore at Troy last season. He also shot 35% from 3pt range, and made a team high 53 three pointers last season for Troy. His career high in scoring is 20 which he hit three times.

Iowa State now has one scholarship left to fill depending on the outcome of the NBA draft participants. Stay tuned to WRNL as more develops.
