Bolton is transferring from Penn State following a freshman season in which he averaged 11 points, two rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 27 minutes per game while starting nine of 32 games for the Nittany Lions. Bolton is a 36 percent shooter from beyond the arc, who can play multiple guard positions.
Under NCAA rules, Bolton would have to sit out the 2019-20 season before having three seasons of eligibility beginning in 2020-21, though Bolton is in the process of attempting to get an NCAA waiver for immediate eligibility, which still remains unresolved.
