Mason Chambers, a 3-star safety out of Schertz, Texas, made his commitment known to Iowa State on Saturday night. Chambers is the third commitment out of the state of Texas in the last month.

Chambers is rated as an 84 according the 247Sports composite rankings, and held offers from SMU, Air Force, Army and Houston. Chambers will be the third safety of the 2020 class, which stands at a total of 18 commitments and is currently ranked in the top 30.
