2019-2020 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule Announced

Along with The Bahamas, the Cyclones will be making a trip to...Corvallis?

NCAA Basketball: Big 12 Conference Tournament-Iowa State vs. Kansas Amy Kontras-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa State University released the 2019-2020 non-conference schedule for men’s basketball on Friday.

2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule

Nov. 5 – Mississippi Valley State

Nov. 9 – at Oregon State

Nov. 12 – Northern Illinois

Nov. 19 – Southern Miss (Battle 4 Atlantis Campus Game)

Nov. 27-29 – Battle 4 Atlantis (Alabama, Gonzaga, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, Seton Hall, Southern Miss)

Dec. 4 – UMKC

Dec. 8 – Seton Hall (Big 12 / BIG EAST Scheduling Alliance)

Dec. 12 – Iowa (Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series)

Dec. 22 – Purdue Fort Wayne

Dec. 31 – Florida A&M Jan. 25 – at TBA (Big 12 / SEC Challenge)

The most notable games in here are obviously the Battle for Atlantis, where the Cyclones could meet up with a couple of any number of high quality programs, including Gonzaga, with whom the Cyclones have shared a non-conference tournament field for the fourth consecutive year.

Other games of note are the matchup with Seton Hall in the first-ever season of the new Big 12-Big East Scheduling Alliance, and a trip to Corvallis, Oregon to take on a Beaver squad that has been down for a long time, but does appear to be on an upswing, finishing 81st in KenPom last year at 18-13.
