First, we talk about last week’s crazy, but ugly Florida-Miami game. It was interesting to watch, but how does the overall poor play of both teams affect perception of each team going forward?

Next, we talk about Andrew Luck’s shocking retirement this past weekend. With him and Rob Gronkowksi both retiring early due to injuries taking away their love of the game, could this be a part of a trend of players retiring early to prevent as much long term pain as possible? Could either of them eventually return to the NFL?

Finally, we give our preview of Iowa State’s game against Northern Iowa this weekend. What can we expect from the running backs and wide receivers? What quantifies a successful first game? Is a win enough, or do the Cyclones to blow out the Panthers?
