Iowa State got some good news on Wednesday night when 2020 wide receiver TJ Tampa (Saint Petersburg, FL) announced his top seven on Twitter.

TJ is a 3-Star prospect according to 247 Sports and has over 19 offers. Iowa State made the cut as well as USF, UCF, Toledo, Maryland, Wake Forest and Rutgers.
“When I visited Iowa State, I loved the school and just the feel of everything.” Tampa said. “I liked the campus and I also had a good vibe with the coaches and players as well.” Now TJ did mention to me that he will be taking an official visit to Ames sometime this season, but no date has been set just yet. Also, as of right now, he doesn’t have a commitment date in mind to announce his decision.
Iowa State currently has three wide receiver commits for the 2020 class in Daniel Jackson, Xavier Hutchinson and Aidan Bitter. While there isn’t a ton of room left in the 2020 class, adding someone like TJ Tampa would be big for the Cyclones and I truly believe they are sitting pretty with the 3-Star prospect from Saint Petersburg, Florida.
