This past weekend, Iowa State hosted several football recruits for the ULM game from both the 2020 and 2021 classes. Alongside the uncommitted prospects were a few current commits as well. However, I wanted to really focus in on the uncommitted prospects to get their thoughts on the visit. Here are some of the best quotes I got from this past weekend as well as my visit with Iowa State 2020 commit Jordyn Morgan.

Preferred Walk on Offers
This past weekend the Cyclones extend a few preferred walk on offers out and here are some of the names I have.
ATH Trent McCann (Centerville, IA): Trent confirmed on Twitter that he will be accepting his preferred walk on offer from Iowa State.
WR/TE Will Zahradnik (Marion, IA)
OT Colton Staab (Cedar Rapids, IA)
WR/S Antonio Alzheimer (Des Moines, IA)
New Offers
Last week there were a couple of new offers that Iowa State sent out.
JUCO SDE Deandre Butler: Butler got his offer over a week ago and he told me that “I was very excited for the offer. I really didn’t watch college football, so I really don’t know much about the school but from what my coaches tell me, it is a really good school.” When I asked him about a visit, he said that he is still waiting on a date.
JUCO OT Jeremy Flax: Jeremy just got his offer recently, but I couldn’t get in touch with him on short notice. Hopefully, I will have something on him by this week.
3-Star WR Landon Morris (La Grange Park, IL): Landon received his offer on Saturday as he took his visit to Iowa State. Landon said “It was amazing, and the game was impressive. The tradition at Iowa State and the facilities they have are incredible.”
Other Visitors
OT Jonathan Decker (Elkhart, IN): Although he doesn’t have an offer, the staff has been keeping a close eye on Jonathan. On his visit, Jonathan said “I loved the visit! The game day feeling was intense, and I could see myself playing there.”
3-Star JUCO DT Latrell Bankston (Hutchinson C.C.): Latrell got his offer before the season started and when I spoke with him back in August, he was very excited about the offer. After his visit, Latrell said “The visit was really good! The academic part of it was overall the best thing about the entire visit.” He also mentioned that he plans to make his decision in November or after he finishes his season and when I asked him if Iowa State is in his top three, he replied, “Most definitely.”
Iowa State 2020 Safety Commit Jordyn Morgan (San Antonio, TX)
Friday night I went to check out Jordyn Morgan right here in San Antonio. He plays at Cornerstone Christian here and they took on a well-known private school out of Dallas, Bishop Dunne. His team was able to grab the victory 26-23 which was a huge victory for them. Jordyn played well, was a leader on his team and made some solid plays whether it was on defense on returning kicks.

After the game, I was able to catch up with Jordyn about the big win and Iowa State.
WRNL: You guys won the game but what is one thing you feel like you and your team can do to get better?
Jordyn: “Mental toughness. That’s one big thing we can work on. As you can see, we faced adversity tonight and we came back and got the victory.”
WRNL: Everyone seems to have their own special pre-game ritual, so what do you do to get ready for a game?
Jordyn: “I come on to the field by myself. I walk around and jog around while I listen to church music.”
WRNL: Tell me about your quarterback Lucas Coley. He still has another year left but what have you seen from him so far this season?
Jordyn: “Lucas will be one of the top quarterbacks in the nation for the 2021 class. Mark my words, he is a tough, hard nosed kid and plays for his team and not himself.”
WRNL: You talked with me about the Cy-Hawk game last week, I want to get your thoughts on the Cyclones so far this season?
Jordyn: “I just like the fact the coach Campbell is pushing those guys and bringing them together as a brotherhood. You don’t see that too often now days, but I like what coach Campbell is doing.”
WRNL: You visited Ames with a few other San Antonio guys back in the summer. Do you have any plans to visit again?
Jordyn: “Yes sir. I think I will go to the Oklahoma State game and maybe one more, but I am not too sure on that.”
