What a ridiculous win. After not one, not two, but three first half interceptions by Brock Purdy, the Cyclones proceeded to score 28 unanswered points on the back of Breece Hall’s 133 yards and 2 touchdowns, and a much-improved Brock Purdy in the second half.
When all was said and done Brock finished 15-24 for 164 yards with 3 TD (Kolar, Allen, Hall) and 3 INT, but much like the Oklahoma game, Brock Purdy wasn’t perfect, but was exactly the quarterback Iowa State needed him to be in the second half.
Special teams continued to be a roller coaster, as a muffed punt, long kickoff return, and punt block and recovery all made appearances tonight.
However, the MVP of the night goes to Mike Rose after his game-sealing interception in the endzone as Baylor was threatening to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

Going into the bye week, the Cyclones will need to get a few things cleaned up as they take on K-State next in on their journey to the Big 12 title game.
