This Week in GIFs: Cyclones Obliterate West Virginia

A determined and dominating effort from this Cyclone team from start to finish

Coming off a program-defining win against Texas, a let-down performance was likely against a good West Virginia team.

Watching the other team have to punt after a false start on 4th and 2 was shockingly cathartic.

It took a series to get going, but the Cyclone defense didn’t let the WVU offense do anything all game long.

Watching Chase Allen gallop down the field, red hair flowing in the wind, was pure bliss.

The WVU defense was left looking for Breece Hall after he slipped out of a scrum for a long TD run.

Brock Purdy running the ball well = hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your defense too.

Past ISU teams don’t get 2 touchdowns called back in the same drive and still manage to score.

Hey, Landon Akers finally scored!

The second half could have been interesting, but the defense stopped WVU on downs twice in a row.

Kene Nwangwu added a long touchdown run.

And Charlie Kolar is a beast.

The players swag surfed, and the fans joined in.

The supposed #1 defense in the Big 12 had trouble stopping Iowa State all night.

The Cyclone defense critics are finally starting to give them much-deserved credit.

The Cyclones finished 8-1 in the Big 12 regular season and will play Oklahoma in Dallas for a shot at the title.

Me thinking about this program playing for the Big 12 title has me like:
