Hey Cyclone fans, I hope you are hungry. Hungry for some bacon because who the hell isn’t always hungry for bacon? Ok, it isn’t real bacon, but this is my feature for Iowa State football recruiting tidbits I have during the week. Anything on my mind or anything that doesn’t go on my recruiting big boards will be posted here as “Bacon Bits”. Whether you like it crispy, chewy or somewhere in-between. There is always something for everyone.
With the dead period still going on, there hasn’t been a ton of news in the recruiting world for Iowa State. However, there were a few things I wanted to share with you today including two new offers and a 2021 wide receiver who listed Iowa State in his top six.

Before I begin, I know some of you are probably wondering why offers aren’t flying out like they were a few weeks ago. That’s due to the dead period which runs through the month of February. This staff loves to visit kids in person and their schools a lot of times before just throwing out offers although they do throw out quite a few. So expect the offers to pick back up next month.
New Offers
2021 3-Star QB Will Crowder (Gardendale, AL)
Late last week Iowa State extended an offer out to quarterback Will Crowder. Funny timing since I just dropped my 2021 quarterback breakdown last week, but I have some good news here. Outside of being the number one ranked quarterback in the state of Alabama, Will seems to have actual interest in the Cyclones. Crowder said “I was super excited to receive the offer and very grateful. I’m going to try and get out there to see the Cyclones this March.” While he has SEC offers, if Iowa State can get him on campus that would really be saying something here. Now I would be shocked if Iowa State lands him, but this could be a guy to keep an eye on down the road. Of course, I will check back with him to get an official date on that visit if he does decide to come up to Ames.
2021 JUCO TE Quentin Moore (Independence C.C.)
That’s right. Quentin is currently at the famous “Last Chance U” school and there are plenty of schools trying to get him. You will see his name a lot when people talk about JUCO tight ends. After his offer Quentin told me “I am really excited because I know how they use their tight end and the offense they run is a great way to showcase all my skill at the next level.” Quentin will be another guy to watch especially if Iowa State goes the JUCO route for the 2021 cycle at tight end. Also, he told me that he would be seriously interested in a visit, but we shall see if that happens.
Final Cut
Late last week, 2021 receiver Jaylin Noel (Kansas City, MO) listed Iowa State in his top six along with Nebraska, Kansas State, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Keep in mind, Jaylin visited Iowa State just two weeks ago and came away impressed. As for the reason he put Iowa State in his top six, Jaylin said “I feel like their program really fits me, the offense, the culture, and they were there from the beginning, so they have been a big school in my recruitment so far.” And while he doesn’t have a commitment date in mind, he did mention that he will be taking his official visit to Iowa State June 19th-21st.
