Not much more to say

This season is good to wrap a bow on it, and call it a year. There’s hard to find even small victories in this game, as the Cyclones were beaten in every aspect for 40 minutes tonight in Hilton. Hilton was once revered as one of the toughest places to play, and now it’s not uncommon for Iowa State to lose by 20+.

Iowa State struggled mightily on defense all night. The effort level was low all night for the Cyclones. Texas Tech shot a blistering 56.4%, not because they were on fire, but because they got easy looks on more possessions than not. Texas Tech’s potential one and done Jahmi’us Ramsey had a great game finishing with 25 points. On top of that he had 7 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Texas Tech’s Kylar Edwards would’ve finished with 20 had the dogs not been called off late. TJ Holyfield was the only other Red Raider in double digits, he finished with 10.

Texas Tech led by as many as 20 in the first half, and Iowa State was never within striking distance for most of the game. Solomon Young led the Cyclones in scoring, he finished with 16 and 5 rebounds.

Iowa State losing by 30 at home is inexcusable. Iowa State is at the bottom of the Big 12, and it appears they will be playing Wednesday in Kansas City if this play continues. This team has gone through its fair share of adversity, and they are not responding well.

Iowa State will take the floor Tuesday against TCU in Ames.
