Bacon Bits: Iowa State Football Recruiting Notes (4/27/20)

Four commits this week makes for yummy bacon.

Iowa State picked up four commitments in the last week from three 2021 guys and one 2020 JUCO player, Deshawn Hanika. It was a big week for the staff, as it moved the 2021 class to third in the Big 12. It’s early, but the commitments are filling up faster than normal which could be a problem later on.

What’s important right now is to trust that Campbell and his staff are offering guys because they fit, not just to offer them.

Iowa State also offered a handful of guys and I was able to pick up some quotes from them.

When I got the offer from Coach Campbell I was ecstatic and it’s just crazy to think how I could end up being apart of that program. They have been very good in the TE position over the past few years and it’d be awesome to join that tradition. I think very highly of the ISU program because they have done well over the past years and have beat some really good teams. Their facilities are really nice too, I’m happy to have gotten up there on a Junior day visit before this pandemic happened.”
