Oh boy do we have a treat for you, Cyclone and Big 12 super fan Fran Fraschilla joins the program to rewatch the 2014 Big 12 Championship victory over Baylor.
This is not a normal episode in our ReCYcle series, but it’s better. We got to pick Fran’s brain from coaching to plays to his favorite moments. We cut back on the normal segments this week, but that’s made up for in some off-topic questions.
Fran talks about his love for Ames, his questionable relationship with KU fans, Brent Musburger’s gambling stories and his relationship with all the players on this Iowa State team.
As far as the game goes, Iowa State started 0-13 from the floor and didn’t score a field goal in the first eight minutes. Five Cyclones scored in double figures en route to their first Big 12 Championship in 14 years.
