Let’s try this again, shall we?
Depaul graduate transfer Jalen Coleman-Lands has committed to the Cyclones, per his Instagram page.
Coleman-Lands, a former top 40 recruit, comes to the Cyclones as a senior graduate-transfer who is immediately eligible. The 6’4” 185 pound guard, who hails from Indianapolis, IN, should provide scoring and athleticism to the perimeter, a spot where it is sorely needed.
After playing two seasons at Illinois, JCL transferred to Depaul, 11 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in 2019 while shooting 32% from the three-point line. While his 2018 season was shortened, he averaged 10 and 8 points per season, respectively, in his time at Illinois. Coleman-Lands has career shooting percentages of 80% from the free throw line, 34% from behind the arc, and 36.5% from the floor.
Coleman-Lands chose the Cyclones over Michigan, NC State, USC, and Cal.
