The other game on Iowa’s schedule that falls victim to this movement is their game vs. UNI, which would have provided critical financial support to their athletics department.
As the pandemic moves along and more conferences begin to announce decisions on how to play the 2020 football season, expect this to be a template moving forward for Power 5 conferences. If the Big 12 follows suit, the first game of the season will be at home vs. Texas Tech on September 26th.
