Very nice bounce back win for the Cyclones

Well, that was uneventful.

It was a dominate performance from the Cyclones Saturday night, as the Cyclones cruised to a 59-7 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks.

Brock Purdy started hotter than fish grease and he stayed hotter than fish grease, finishing 17-22 for 245 and four touchdown passes.

His touchdown passes led Iowa State to a 28-0 lead, keyed by a 44 yard touchdown pass to Joe Scates.

This game was over after one quarter, as the second half featured plenty of action for the backups.

The Cyclone special teams continued to troll fans, as they kicked nothing but touchbacks, blocked a field goal, and scrambled the kicking team on for a field goal before halftime.

In all, it was exactly what you wanted to see going into the bye week.

Brocktober, baby.
