What a win for the Cyclones.

The Cyclone defense came through when it was need most on Saturday, as Iowa State knocked off Oklahoma State by a final score of 24-21.

Brock Purdy steadied an Iowa State offense that could not run the ball, going 27-33 for 307 yards and two touchdowns. Breece Hall was held to 70 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries against the stout Oklahoma State defense.

The game turned following a 3 and out to start the second half, which led to a Xavier Hutchinson touchdown after some questionable officiating on the drive.

Though OSU would retake the lead mid-way through the 4th quarter, Iowa State rallied for a long touchdown drive, and the defense held on for two consecutive stops to seal the deal, leading to fans storming the field to celebrate.
