Three-star running back and Georgia-native Cartevious Norton committed to Iowa State Thursday. Technically, this would be the third running back commit of the 2022 class (as positions are listed on 247Sports), but prior commits Quaron Adams and Xavier Townsend are expected to play receiver at Iowa State, making Norton the heir apparent to the Cyclone running back lineage at some point in his career.
First I would like to thank my lord and savior for many blessings! But After speaking wit my family and coaches I would like to say that I’m 1000% in thank you!!! @ISUMattCampbell @CycloneFB @CoachNateISU @DerekHoodjer @WareFootball @CoachBoyett pic.twitter.com/yc6VMQVr34— Cartevious Norton (@CarteviousN) October 28, 2021
Norton chose Iowa State over offers from Buffalo, Akron, FIU, Georgia State, Northern Illinois, USF, and Western Kentucky. Clemson, Florida State, and Minnesota are all listed as having interest, but no offer, on his 247 page.
