Green spent a total of 16 seasons at Northern Iowa, under coaches Greg McDermott and Ben Jacobson. In between his UNI stints, he served as an assistant at Marquette and was the head man at Lewis University (DII) and Wisconsin-Eau Claire (DIII). He spent most of his time working with post players, as well as being recruiting coordinator for the Panthers.
His Twin Cities connection could be huge in getting some recruits that are just up I-35. As of right now, it does not appear his son, former 4-star guard AJ Green, will follow him to Ames, but Green will likely lead the charge in recruiting efforts in the midwest for the Cyclones.
