Fire up the grills! Caleb Grill is headed back to Ames. It has only been a year since Caleb Grill announced that he would go play for T.J. Otzelberger at UNLV. Now he is back in the cardinal and gold he grew up watching.
I can’t wait to be re-united with former teammates and continue to learn and grow as a player and person under Coach TJ and his staff and to play in front of the best fans in the country! #cyclONEnation pic.twitter.com/gxhEjRis0J

Grill averaged 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists at UNLV during the 2020-21 season. Grill also scored a career-high 27 points against Alabama. During his first run with Iowa State, Grill averaged 2 points and saw increased minutes when Tyrese Haliburton went down with a season ending injury.
Busy day for Iowa State hoops and it was overwhelmingly positive for the first year coach T.J. Otzelberger. Stay tuned to WRNL as the offseason moves along.
