ICYMI: Check out the first-ever episode of The Night Cap!

In case you didn’t catch it last night, we had a great time on the debut of The Night Cap.

Last night we debuted our new weekly show, The Night Cap, with a very special guest, former Iowa State running back David Montgomery. We touched on his best memories at Iowa State, his thoughts on the program and guys like Brock Purdy and Breece Hall, Victory Day, transitioning to the NFL, what it’s like to block Khalil Mack, the “Chuck Bruce” nickname and some of his best Matt Campbell stories. We even had a surprise appearance from former Iowa State receiver Deshaunte Jones!

After bidding David adieu, we got into the first of our recurring games, “Aiden vs. the 90s” (the 1-hour mark) where our producer, Aiden Wyatt, who was born in 2001, answers pop culture questions to see just how young he is.

Then, we talked about the Rasir Bolton transfer and how that impacts Iowa State basketball going forward.

Somehow, this discussion evolved into a long rant by Marchie Murdock about the Mavs and his qualms with Dwight Powell, and featured a discussion on North Korean Professional Basketball League MVP Kim Jong Un.

We capped off the inaugural episode of with a yet-unnamed dad-joke contest between Matthias and Levi.

If you enjoyed that first episode, join us again next Tuesday night at 8 PM CT with our next special guest, Kyven Gadson.
